Dil Dostii Dance

Dil Dostii Dance also known as D3, airs on Channel [V] India, every Monday to Friday at 7 pm.

Dil Dostii Dance is an Indian teenage drama, with a dance theme, that airs on Channel [V] India at Mon-Fri 7pm, since April 11, 2011.

The story follows Kria, a 17 year old girl from the town of Dehradun. Her passion is to dance. But her mother doesn't allow her to dance. and so, kria gets into St Louis College in Mumbai, where she can secretly dance. But to her surprise, her college is divided into two rival groups, the Dazzlers and the Weaklings.

The Dazzlers are children of rich parents, and have a clear superiority complex. They are good dancers, and do not allow any one else to join their dance team. The team is led by Sharon Rai Prakash, daughter of dance guru Gautam Rai Prakash and Reyaansh or Rey Singhania, the college heart throb. The others in the Dazzlers team are Vicky, Nilesh, Simi and Rini. Rey had seen kria in a new party in dehradun and had fallen in love with her at first sight.

Kria joins St Louis she is ragged badly by the Dazzlers. But Rey secretly admires her and helps her. She holds her own and decides to form a dance team to compete against the Dazzlers in the upcoming nationwide dance competition - Footloose. She calls her team the "Weaklings" and it consists of her, Neha, Vishaka, Bharat, Swayam and Amar. Swayam is having a huge crush on Sharon and believes that one day she will realise his love for her. The story takes a twist when RDX,the cultural head of the college arranges a party for weaklings and dazzlers. All get drunk up get close to each other. Sharon and Swayam, Rey and Kria, Vicky and Neha share special time with each other. After the party,the college authorities decide that there will be no more weaklings and dazzlings and only louians. After this all the students are taken for a college trip and given a project for girls and boys to study about each other. At this time, all of them again have feelings for each other. During the trip all of them were forced to put their differences aside and work together in order to win the project against opposite sex. After the trip, Kria ,Neha and Sharon almost realise their feelings for Rey, Vicky and Swayam.

Dazzlers

Reyaansh Singhania - played by Kunwar Amarjeet Singh

Reyaansh is the college heart throb. He is portrayed to be charming, bratty and a great dancer. He and Sharon are the dancing couple of St Louis College. He thinks of Sharon as his best friend. Although he is rich, and belongs to the Dazzlers, he is not averse to making friends from the wrong side of the track. He gets smitten with Kria, right from their first encounter at a nightclub in Dehradun on New Year's Eve. When Kria joins St Louis his feelings for her become stronger, although he does not overtly express it. Finally he starts loving her and wants to express his feelings, but kria is just opposite to him. Kunwar Amar was among the top 5 contestants in dance India dance season 2.

Sharon Rai Prakash - played By Sneha Kapoor

The veritable spoilt-rich-kid, Sharon is actually Sharanjeet Kaur. Like many things in her life, her name is also designed to get attention. Daddy's girl, she's had mostly everything go her own way. She loves to dance and on the dance floor, she transforms from a selfish, spoilt, baby-doll, to a graceful swan. She is paired opposite Swayam, an entirely opposite character to her. Sneha is a jazz trained dancer and has been an instructor at the Shiamak Davar's institute. She also does classical.

Vikramjeet Singh Rathore (Vicky) - played by Archi (Pratik Kalsi)

He is Rey's bestest friend or as they like to call themselves "The Chuddi Buddies". He is like a brother to Rey and always has to cover for him. He is the only one apart from Swayam that knows that Rey has a crush on Kriya. Vicky believed that no matter what a girl's name is, she is always the other name of trouble until he falls in love with Neha. Kriya's best friend during the RDX party. He becomes so mesmerised by her that he started to think like Rey. During the trip he openly tells Rey that he likes Neha of which Rey tries to take advantage like he asks Vicky to do something by giving him the hope that Neha would like it. He is one of the main and strongest dancers of the team. Archi pratik is an instructor at freak n stylz academy in mumbai.

Nilesh Khanna - played by Macedon D'Mello

The rap star. He is a Dazzler. He and Vicky makes up the comic impact of the show. Macedon is a member of SSDC (Street Soul Dance Crew) along with Swayam (Shantanu) of D3. He's very humorous.

Simi Gujral - played by Samentha Fernandes

She is a Dazzler. Sharon's best friend. Unlike Rinni who acts dumb, Simi is the smart one and is paired with Nilesh who is also in the Dazzling team.

Rini Shah - played by Priyanka Soni

She too is a Dazzler. She is always worried about her make up and looks. She is paired with Amar who is the part of the weaklings team.

Weaklings

Kria Ghai - played by Shakti Mohan

The only child of a single mother, Kria is completely over-protected. Her mother takes a job transfer to Mumbai so that she can be with her daughter. They share a love-hate relationship. Kria is defined by her love for dance. Friendly but brave, Kria, battles against the Dazzlers to form her own dance group.Her best friend is Neha.She is paired opposite Reyaansh Singhania (Rey). Shakti is the winner of dance India dance season 2.

Swayam Shekhawat - Played By Shantanu Maheshwari

The lovable Boy-Next-Door and the Lover Boy, Swayam is in love with Sharon. He tries to woo her but all his attempts are in vain until a party happens after which things look on the bright side for his and Sharon's relationship. He is good friends with Rey and Kria. He is a very good dancer and a charming person, which attracts Sharon to him later. Shantanu is a member of SSCD (Street Soul Dance Crew) along with Nilesh (Macedon) of D3.

Neha Ranchod - played by Alisha Singh

Neha is Kriya's first and best friend. Before kriya came Neha had no friends and so she always talked to herself by using third person form, She is very weak in English but tries very hard to improve it. Neha becomes a member of the weakling dance team after Kriya discovers her hidden talent. Neha has a huge crush on their cultural head RDX (Ravi Dixit). But during the RDX's party she begins to like Vicky...Rey's best friend though she still admires RDX which makes Vicky jealous at times. She's a very charming girl and one of the strongest dancers in their team. Alisha was in dance India dance season 1.

Vishakha - played by Vinti Idlani

She is a Weakling. She is a tomboy and always fights for her team. She was a dazzler but didn't used to butter up Sharon like everyone else. So she was kicked out of the dazzling team. She is paired with Bharath who is also in the weakling team.

Amar - played by Amar Gowda

He is a Weakling. He also works in the college canteen. He is paired with Rinni who is a Dazzler.

Bharath - played by Bharat Ragathi

He too belongs Weaklings. He is crazy about cars. He works at the garage after college and is paired with Vishakha whom is also in the weakling team.

Other Characters

RDX (Ravi Dixit) - played by Anirudh Deo

He is the Handsome cultural head of their college. All girls are behind him.He always tries to resolve the problems between dazzlers and weaklings. The role of Ravi Dixit is played by Anirudh Deo who has also done Doli Saja Ke on Sahara One in the past.

Principal Sir

Unlike other principals, he is not so strict with the students.

Special Roles

Karan Singh Grover as Himself

He meets Dazzlers and Weaklings in a College Trip.

Prof. Karan Mallik - played by Karan Singh Grover (again)

Karan Singh Grover back on D3.

He plays student counciler in St. Louis. Mr. Karan Malik comes to St. Louise to solve the differences between everyone, especially the weaklings and Dazzlers. He also tries to evacuate 'The Line Of Control' created by The dazzlers, and, Make space for love in the teenagers lives.
