D3, Dil Dosti Dance is a dance based daily soap aired on Channel[V], every Monday to Thursday at 7 pm. They say, "Some people learn to dance, while others are born to dance." Kria ghai was born to dance, she loved dance and her little body swayed to music even before she knew how to walk. But her dancing shoes were taken away from her by a strict mother who had another dream for her; her mother wanted her to succeed in the corporate arena. Kria doesn't want to defy her mother, but fate constantly brings her face to face with her true destiny; dance! Once she arrives in Bombay she meets reyansh and Sharon and their troupe of dancers. She is paired with the weaklings of the college, when everything about her screams dazzler! Due to her talent she is immediately seen as a threat by the college diva Sharon. Sharon sets out to make kria's life miserable but kira only uses each stumbling block as a stepping stone to inch closer to her lifelong dream ... a moment of shining glory, owing to her first and only passion dance! On the way she finds love, so her 'dil' beats with the tremors of first love. She makes new friends, so her thirst for 'dosti' is fulfilled. She does this as she embarks upon a journey of self-discovery, through 'dance'! We all have dreams and aspirations. But not all dreams become reality and not all aspirations change destiny. And the road is filled with hurdles. Meet Kria ; her dreams and aspirations begin and end with DANCE. Follow her journey as she stumbles, topples and tries to overcome the hurdles that stand in her way.

Plot

Dil Dostii Dance also known as D3, airs on Channel [V] India, every Monday to Friday at 7 pm. Dil Dostii Dance is an Indian soap aimed at the youth, with a dance theme, that airs on Channel [V] India at Mon-Fri 7 pm, since April 11, 2011.Repeat at 11:30 pm, 12:00 pm, and 2:30 pm.

The story follows Kria Ghai, a small town girl from Dehradun who has a strong passion for dance. For some mysterious reason, her single mother is strictly against dance and does not allow Kria to follow her dreams and takes away her dancing shoes. However, Kria talks her mother into going to Mumbai for further studies, while actually she plans to fulfill her passion for dance. Before their departure, on the New Year's night, she meets Reyansh Singhaniya, and both get arrested for damaging some of the club's property. There, she learns that Reyansh "Rey" Singhaniya is actually a rich, spoilt, but charming guy from Mumbai. Later, Kria walks out of the police station, unaware of the fact that Rey had fallen in love with her at first sight. Kria's mother takes a job transfer to Mumbai and both of them move to Mumbai. Kria joins St.Louis College with the hopes of achieving her dream. However she is shocked to discover that the college has two major divides amongst the students: Dazzling and Weaklings. The dazzling group consists of the richer kids of the college who clearly have superiority complex,whereas the weakling group includes the talented, but ordinary students who are bullied by the dazzlers. Fate played its role when Kria runs into Rey again and finds out that he is the captain of the dazzling group.Kria also runs into Sharon,mer of the dazzlers team,which turns into an ugly encounter leading the dazzling team to turn against her.Kria is then ragged badly by the dazzlers but is helped by Rey.Despite her talent,Kria is labelled as a 'weakling' and is refrained from showcasing her talent.Kria learns about a nation-wide dance competition-FootLoose.Driven by her love for dance,Kria becomes determined to establish her own dance team against the Dazzlers in Footloose auditions.Rey's feelings for Kria continues to blossom as he watches and secretly helps her in her struggle to make her place in the college and eslablish her own dance team, the "weaklings". Recently, kria and reyansh are friends and tring to make sharon and swayam come closer as they adore each other. Meanwhile, during the rehearsals for special couple dance sharon reveals that she is in love with her secret admirer. her "secret admirer" in none other than swayam and he is the only one who knows. As rey and kriya try to find out who is the "secret admirer" they come closer to each other. The story thus focusses around Kria and the other characters as their Dil experiences the tremors of first love,Dosti developes when new friendships are established and Dance which has always been their passion.

Cast

Kria - Played by Shakti Mohan. Shakti is the Winner of Dance India Dance.

Reyansh Aka Rey-Played by Kunwar Amar. His full name is Kunwar Amarjeet Singh. Amar also had been one of the contestants alongside Shakti in DID2.

Swayam-Played by Shantanu Maheshwari. He is a part of SSDC(Street Soul Dance Crew) with Macedon.

Sharon-Played by Sneha Kapoor. Sneha is a jazz trained dancer and has been an instructor at the Shiamak Davar's institute.

Vicky -Played by Archi (Pratik Kalsi). Archi is an instructor at Freak n Stylz academy in Mumbai.

Neha- Played by Alisha Singh. Alisha had been the First Runner's up in Dance India Dance(DID).

Nilesh- Played by Macedon D'Mello. Macedon is a member of ssdc(street soul dance crew) along with Shantanu.

Amar-Played by Amar Gowda.

Bharat-Played by Bharat Ragathi.

Simi-Played by Samentha Fernandes.

Rini-Played by Priyanka Soni.

Vishakha-Played by Vinti Idlani.

RDX(Ravi DiXit)-Played by Anirudh Deo who has also starred in Doli Saja Ke on Sahara One.

Prof.Karan Malik-Played by Karan Singh Grover.He was one of the main lead of the show Dill Mill Gayye. He has come to the show as a cameo.

There is going to be another new character who is a ballroom dance teacher (female) whose name is Nicole.

They are a group of six dancers.They are children of rich parents who tend to look down at the weaklings.

Reyansh

Reyaansh is the college heart-throb.girls find him really hot. He is portrayed to be charming, bratty and a great dancer. He and Sharon are the dancing couple of St Louis College,but his interest in Sharon does not go beyond a friend.He considers Sharon as his best friend,along with Vicky and Nilesh as his ' best buddies' or as they call it 'Chuddy buddies'.Now..He also good friends with Swayam, Kriya's Best friend. Although he is rich, and the captain of the Dazzlers, he is not averse to making friends from the wrong side of the track.

He gets smitten with Kriya, right from their first encounter at a nightclub in Dehradun on New Year's Eve.He falls in love with her at first sight and is shocked when he meets her again in college. When Kriya joins St Louis his feelings for her become stronger, although he does not overtly express it publicly.

Rey always looks out for Kriya and also secretly helped her make her team.However due to misunderstandings,Kriya always got the wrong picture of him,and Rey made several attempts to clarify himself to her.

During the elections,Sharon insults Kriya publicly while addressing the students on behalf of Rey,made Kriya believe that Rey thinks the same way about her.When Rey confronted her with a rose on the rose day,she slaps Rey but did not intend to do so.This made Rey extremely angry but is still unaware of the actual reason,and buries his feelings for her.

He is now the G.S of the college and to play a prank on Kriya for revenge,makes her ask weird questions to students.One of the students makes bad reamarks with Kriya which makes her cry.Seeing this,Rey beats up that student in return gets hurt in his hand.Kriya didnt know that Rey had beaten up that student and not knowing it.. for revenge, she makes a rule,tricks him to blindly sign on blank papers which creates a havoc in college leading both of them to detention.

Rey still loves kriya and due to prf.karan his misunderstandings was cleared when Sharon reveals that she had given a speech to discourage kriya and in anger kriya had slapped rey. Recently it is Showed that that Rey and Kriya have become friends as the misunderstandingxx are cleared and started a mission to bring Sharon and Swayam closer to each other, in the process both are coming closer to each other.

After Prof.Karan leaves the college, the ballroom dance teacher, Nicole comes. All the boys like to be With Nicole. .. as she is Very HOT. And Whenever Rey goes to Nicole or dances with her... Kriya Feels Jealous and she is slowly realising that she loves Rey.. <3<3 The story Continues

Sharon

The veritable spoilt-rich-kid, Sharon is actually Sharon Rai Prakash. Like many things in her life, her name is also designed to get attention. Sharon is Gautam Rai Prakash's daughter, who happens to be Kriya's role model. Daddy's girl, she's had mostly everything go her own way. She loves to dance and on the dance floor, she transforms from a selfish, spoilt, baby-doll, to a graceful swan. She is paired opposite Swayam, an entirely opposite character to her. She felt that she liked Rey, but later developes feelings for Swayam afer the RDX party.Her view on Swayam changed as she learnt more about him and starts falling for him but is not ready to accept it yet.Thougt she portrays herself as arrogant and brash,she has a very soft and sensitive girl hidden below.She is called by Swayam as 'Siren Sharon'. When the college heads equalized all the students as Louians,Sharon was totally against it. She feels a deep anoyance for Kriya and her team teammates.Even though she is against Kriya,she stood up for her in the canteen when one of the students made rude remarks towards Kriya. It is shown that she is falling for her secret admirer. The Secret admirer happens to be Swayam And Sharon was Shocked to hear it. She takes everything so negatively that she hurts Swayam by shouting at him saying that she doesnt want Swayam. Later in Rehearsal Hall... when Sharon tells her friends that her Secret Admirer looked bad.. Swayam stood up and told everyone that he was he secret admirer.Swayam kind of ingores Sharon these dayz. Now, the Ballroom dance teacher comes and she finds Swayam Interesting and often Dances with him in dance class making Sharon Jealous.. The story continues..

Vicky

He is Rey's best friend or as they like to call themselves "The Chuddi Buddies". He is like a brother to Rey and always has to cover for him. He is the only one apart from Swayam that knows that Rey has a crush on Kriya. In fact, he was the one who first pointed out to Rey that he is falling for Kria. he always puts rey into realization that how much he loves kriya.

Vicky believed in Rey's 'Funda' that a girl is the other name of trouble until he falls in love with Neha, Kria's best friend during he RDX party. He becomes so mesmerised by her new avatar at the RDX party,and both of them spend a special time together where he starts having feelings for her. But still after that he tends to be mean towards Neha and weaklings at times.However gradually his view on them like Rey changed too and got fed up with the fights between the two groups.During the trip he openly tells Rey that he likes Neha of which Rey tries to take advantage like he asks Vicky to do something,giving him the hope that Neha would like it.

It is a running gag in the show that whenever Vicky looks at Neha, he feels that he is falling into a pool and hears the song 'Jab se tere naina' in the background. When all the boys go for a Boys Night out- he openly admits to them that he is love with Neha, after which he takes help of Rey and Swayam to impress Neha. He is too possessive about her and doesn't even leave his best friends when they say anything against Neha - like yelling at Nilesh when he called her a weakling and even kidnapped Rey for her sake. He has a strong dislike for a guy named Ali who keeps hitting on Neha. Recently he is behaving very filmy and watching Hindi films to impress Neha. He calls Neha as 'Meri dewaani' and Neha sometimes calls him 'Dewaana'.

Apart from Rey, he has a strong friendship with Nilesh and both of them make the comic impact of the show. Sometimes his weird behaviour and catching him awkward situations, made Nilesh doubt that he is interested in Boys which later got clarified. Nilesh

Nilesh is the rap star of the college. He is best buddies with Rey and Vicky. He and Vicky makes up the comic impact of the show.He has feelings for Simi of his team.

Simi

She is Sharon's best friend.She has develpoed a crush on the college counseller currently. She likes Nilesh of her team. She always admires Sharon in what she does.

Rini

She is the rather slow one out of all of the dazzlers and is always worried about her make up and looks. She is one of the few people who can understand Amar's words. She has a soft corner for Amar of the Weaklings team. Apart from the Dazzlers,she also admires Sharon in what she does.

Weaklings

They are a group of six dancers.All of them are very talented and are bought together as a team by Kria.

Kria

Being the only child of a single mother, Kria is completely over-protected by her mother.Kria is sweet small town girl who is defined by her love for dance.She talked her mother into coming to Mumbai to pursue further studies but her hidden agenda was to pursue her dream to become a dancer in this city.Kria is scared of her mother and sometimes cannot handle pressure from her mother because her mother's expectations are different from her dreams.

She shares a love-hate relationship with Reyaansh.Completely unaware of Rey's feelings for her,she believes that Rey considers her as his enemy and always tends to misunderstand Rey leading to bad clashes between them.She sometimes finds herself relating to Rey as made them to portray these characters 'Chabilal' and 'Romiara' during the RDX party when they get locked in a room.After this she slowly started falling for Rey without even realizing it.She tends to believe that he likes his best friend Sharon or is a casinova which causes her to get jealous at times.She appears to behave very defensive whenever Rey is around as she is confused about her feelings.Rey often refers to her as 'Baat Cutter' or 'Miss Deharadun'.

Kria always tends to have arguments with Sharon when coming to defending her team.Kria is always addressed as 'Kripa' or 'Miss Behenji' by Sharon though on very rare occasions she calls her 'Kria'.

Kria makes quick friendship with Neha when she just joins the college and considers Neha as her Best friend. Kria shares a close and understanding frienship with Swayam.

She has recently been appointed as the Asst.G.S. of the college.Recent elections for GS and the pranks played by Rey on her like making her ask embarrassing questions in the canteen has led to misunderstanding between her and Rey and her teammates at times. She is shown to be impressed by their new college Counseller 'Karan Malik'. Now she and rey have become friends and both as a team are trying to bring sharon and swayam closer to each other but in the process themselves are coming closer to each other.

One of the famous words used by Kria is UniverseJi referring to God.

Swayam

The lovable Boy-Next-Door and the Lover Boy, Swayam is in love with Sharon. He tries to woo her but all his attempts are in vain until RDX party in which he and Sharon spend a special time together,after which things look on the bright side for his and Sharon's relationship. He is close friends with Kriya,Bharat and Rey. He is a very good dancer and a charming person, which attracts Sharon to him later.He is the only one apart from Vicky who knows about Rey's feelings for Kria.He is on friendly terms with everyone and does not like the fights between dazzlers and weaklings,along with Rey tries to solve the problems of dazzlers and weaklings.Swayam is the one who manipulated the college Rose queen results and made Kria,the rose queen.He is Sharon's secret admirer who has been showering her with expensive gifts,hinting that he is actually rich.He is appointed as the Asst.C.S by RDX.

Neha

Neha is Kriya's first friend in St.Louis college.Before Kria came,Neha had no friends and so she always talked to herself by using third person form.She is very weak in English but tries very hard to improve it, and is thus called as 'Miss Reverse English' and 'Miss Verbal Diarrhea'.She becomes a member of the weakling dance team after Kria discovers her hidden talent. Neha has a huge crush on their cultural head RDX (Ravi Dixit).

During the RDX's party,she dresses in a new look to impress RDX,shocking everyone in her new avataar and also gets Vicky mesmerized by her.she gets drunk and declares her crush for RDX on the rooftop thus letting everyone know.However during the party,she and Vicky spend some time together,after which she begins to have feelings for him but does not express it as much as Vicky.Though she still admires RDX which makes Vicky jealous at times.

She's a very charming girl and one of the strongest dancers in their team.She refers to Vicky as 'dewana' at times and vice versa he calls her as 'Meri Deewani'.Due to Kria's misunderstanding,Vishaka and Kria make her believe that Vicky is playing with her(by pretending to like her,though he is actually in love wth her) to get information about her team.She is unaware of how much Vicky loves and adores her.She tends to make Vicky jealous by flirting with a guy named Ali who keeps hitting on her.

As once mentioned by Swayam,she is very Filmy and believes that like Raj of DDLJ,she will also meet her Mr.Right.Swayam also mentioned that she loves to read classic romantic novels like Heer-Ranja,and always finds time to read at least one book in the library eveyday.now vickey is stunned by neha and her bollywood style of dancing

Amar

Amar is known as a 'Totla' in the college,however he does not stammer when he is drunk.He also works as a waiter in the college canteen.He has feelings for Rini of the dazzlers team.

Bharat

He is a hot-headed guy and ready to pick up a fight anytime.He works as a part-time mechanic and is crazy about cars.Initially he was not interested in joining Kria's team but after persuasion finally gave in.He shares a close friendship with Swayam and often repairs his cycle for free.Due to his limited vocabulary in English,he finds every English word to be a Galli(bad word). He also has a soft corner for Vishaka.

Vishakha

Vishaka is tomboyish by nature and hot headed like Bharat.She is ex-dazzler who boycotted from the group because she couldn't pretend to worship Sharon. She is very strong and always fights for her team.She is paired with Bharat of her own team, and has feelings for him.

RDX(Ravi DiXit)

He is the Handsome cultural head of their college. Many of the girls in the college have a crush on him and he seems to be aware of that.He is very friendly with his students and always tries to resolve the conflicts between the dazzlers and the weaklings.He hosted a party for both the dance teams so that their differences will be sorted out.He was the one to advice Kria to book the rehearsel hall when her team were having problems while rehearsing.He also appointed Swayam as the Asst.C.S. of the college.

Karan Malik

He was the mediator between the viewers and the story throughout the show.He was then introduced as the Counseller of the college called by RDX to solve the conflicts amongst the students and learn their responsibilities.He is attractive and charming which has left all the girls to be impressed by him.This has made the boys jealous and led into thinking that he is separating them from their respective lady love.He is very experienced and can interpret the moves of his students when they tried to play pranks on him(which failed).He has a different way while dealing with his students;like making them play a surprise exercise in which they have to lie to the questions answered to them.According to the promos he will be the love guru to the Boys as they try to woo the girls. Now, he has left the ST.LOUIS college after giving the two friends, Kria and Rey, and mission to complete. The mission of getting Sharon and Swayam together.

Principal

Addressed as 'Principal Sir' or 'Princy' by his students,is not so strict with his students.However,when time calls he has taken important decisions.Like when the dazzlers and weaklings groups had a food fight,the next day he made a rule where all students have to wear a white band signafying that all students are Louisans and there is no divide amongst them.He also forgave Kria and Rey for their faults,only giving both of them detention.
