It has a daily circulation average of 60,000 units[citation needed], with full color and tabloid-sized pages. Although it is distributed all across the country, it is in the north area of Honduras where its presence is more important.
Jorge Canahuati Larach is the president of the OPSA organization, which is home to La Prensa and other major journalistic brands in Honduras. His grandfather and founder of the company, Jorge J. Larach, died in 1985.[1] Canahuati has been a member of the Inter American Press Association Executive Committee.[2]
History
La Prensa was founded on October 26, 1964, La Prensa is Organización Publicitaria, S.A.'s leading product, although the parent company has more publications under its wing, including El Heraldo and Diario Deportivo Diez.
