Dick Telford (born 2 April 1945) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood and Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1960s.

Telford gave up a baseball career to play football and joined Collingwood in 1966, a side which went on to lose the Grand Final by a single point. Due to the competitiveness of the team he made just one appearance in the seniors, a win over South Melbourne at Lake Oval, a debut he shared with Doug Searl. The following year he played two games with Fitzroy but was ruled out for the rest of the season when he broke his thumb.

A centreman, Telford was delisted by Collingwood and transferred to Preston in 1968, where he won that season's J. J. Liston Trophy. He retired in 1972 after 68 VFA games, by which time he had secured two 'best and fairest's and participated in back to back premierships, in 1968 and 1969. Telford spent the 1975 and 1976 seasons as non playing coach of Preston. He then became an athletics coach and at the 1988 Olympics coached Lisa Martin to a silver medal. Telford is also involved in sports science research.
