Dofar Liberation Front (DLF) (Arabic: جبهة تحرير ظفار) was a communist front which was established to create a separatist state in Dhofar, the southern province of Oman, which shared a border with Yemen. The DLF was established by communist youth in Salalah in 1965 and fought a 10 year battle with the sultanate army supported by southern Yemen at the time.[citation needed] The sultanate army supported by balochistan people Iran and Britain have managed to remove the DLF from power and push its forces towards the border of Yemen and the mountains in 1976. The front still exists as a political group operating from London, United Kingdom.
