Dhing Shah, a village in Kasur District 33 km from the city of Kasur, is named after a shrine to Baba Dhing Shah.[citation needed] Dhing Shah is crossroad from where Usman Wala Road begins. The village has a Government Boys High School and Girls Primary School.[1]
Muhammad Arshad,[2][3] a former member of Pakistan National Hockey Team, comes from Dhing Shah.[citation needed] Muhammad Imran Junior, brother of Muhammad Arshad, currently plays for the Pakistan National Hockey team.[4]
On 21 November 2010, a young woman, Nasreen Bibi, died through an honour-killing in Dhing Shah police precincts.[5] [6]
