The Department of Health (Manx: Rheynn Slaynt) is one of nine departments of the Isle of Man Government. It was created on 1 April 2010, taking on the health services and public health functions of the former Department of Health and Social Security.
The current Minister for Health is Hon David Anderson MHK. The current Member for Health is Dudley Butt MLC.
The Department of Health is the largest in terms of personnel, which stood at 1,632 full time equivalent employees at 1 April 2011, representing approx. 25% of central government's public sector workforce.
