Denton Community College

Denton Community College is a comprehensive, inclusive 1,350 place school in the UK for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 16. It specialises in Performing Arts and Sports. The school is located at Egerton Street, Denton, Tameside, Greater Manchester, M34 3PB.

History

The school controversially opened on September 1, 2010 with a new £24 million building being built on the same site, delivered through the borough’s £300m Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project. The school is a merger of two other schools in the area that closed on August 31, 2010: Egerton Park Arts College and Two Trees Sports College. To date, the new build is not complete and the College operates from two buildings.

Academic performance

Like all except two schools in Tameside LEA, it has no sixth form.
