(Cuvier, 1829)Dendrochirus brachypterus or the Hawaiian lionfish is a lionfish endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. It has been found as far away as Johnston Atoll. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade. It grows to a size of 17cm in length.
