He is based currently in London and a graduate of Kingston University. Dickins signed a three album deal with the Ninja Tune label Big Dada.[1]

Releases
2010 has seen DELS' popularity gain momentum. His singles 'Shapeshift', 'Trumpalump' (produced by Joe Goddard of Hot Chip) and 'GOB' (produced by Kwes) have gained notice for his adventurous and distinct style. Big Dada have described DELS as the "perfect Big Dada artist". "A very talented MC who pushes what he can say with words as hard as he can and combines it with a really adventurous attitude towards music. Oh, and he does his own artwork and videos, too, which makes things much easier!" [2] His forth coming album 'GOB' is primarily produced by Kwes with him taking the helm on six tracks, Micachu two tracks and Joe Goddard three tracks. [3]
Critical Acclaim
DELS has received positive media coverage from BBC Radio 1's Reggie Yates who was the first mainstream English radio host to play his debut Big Dada single "Shapeshift".[4] Paul Lester of The Guardian has complimented Dickins for his ability to set himself apart from many homogeneous Hip Hop artists by sounding both languid and urgent. Lester has described Dickins as "Dizzee mixed with the Björk of Vespertina".[5] DELS' single 'Shapeshift' has been listed by Drowned In Sound as one of their top singles of 2010.
