Stomu Yamashta (born "Yamashita Tsutomu", _ja. 山下勉,
15 March 1947 ,Kyoto ,Japan ) is a Japanesepercussion ist, keyboardist andcomposer . He is sometimes credited as Stomu Yamash'ta.He has played with the Chicago Chamber Orchestra and the
rock group Come to The Edge. He studiedjazz drumming at the Berklee School of Jazz. He has composed for the BritishRoyal Ballet , for the soundtrack of theDavid Bowie film "The Man Who Fell to Earth" and forKen Russell 's "The Devils ".He was a member of the supergroup "Go" along with
Steve Winwood ,Al Di Meola ,Klaus Schulze , andMichael Shrieve .Discography
