Plot

On her twelfth birthday a girl starts having nightmares about a sister she cannot remember, these dreams start to unearth a tangled web and lies and criminal activity. [1]

Production

Origins

In late 2010 Gary Spate and Sadie Ingoldby launched Fiveway Films with the aim of creating a movie. In July 2011 the story for 'Dead Lies' was created.

Using a similar model to Tony Lane's Invasion of the Not Quite Dead to fund the movie, Fiveway Films hope to raise enough funds to begin filming 'Dead Lies' in the summer of 2012.

Dead Lies will feature original music by Captain Sensible among other recognised and unsigned artists.

Release

As of November 2011 the film is in pre-production, The film is expected to be released in 2014.

Trivia

  • Gary Croft was the first actor to agree to star in the movie, he lives in the same town as the director Gary Spate, Grimsby.[2]
  • Having spent years dreaming about making his movie Gary Spate only decided to pursue that dream after following in the footsteps of fellow filmmaker Tony Lane by raising his own funds using the power of Twitter and viral marketing.
