Milliner attended Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook, Alabama, where made 71 tackles as a senior in 2009 while intercepting three passes and breaking up eight passes. He earned a 2009 USA Today All-American selection. Regarded as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com, Milliner was listed as the No. 2 cornerback prospect in the class of 2010.[2]
