Recent Changes

The school's administrators were changed to Susan Jones (as of March, 2008), alongside assistant principals Anderson Graves, II and Patrick Caine. Molly Killingsworth remained from the previous regime. With Susan's arrival, the school was experiencing over 9000 major changes. A new wing known as the "700 building" was built a year prior to her arrival, and construction on a new gymnasium is set to open in 2009 has started. The library's surrounding land has been surveyed, and approved to be doubled in size, and it is expected to be finished by February 2009. Students first amendment rights have been severely diminished with the institution of rules such as the requirement of students to tuck their shirt tails in. This new school rule was met with large amounts of controversy originating from students as well as parents. The student body even went to far as to threaten a school-wide sit down in protest of the new rule. Despite this, Jones did not give in to the students demands, threating expulsion to those who protested or did not comply with the school rules.
