Ottawa Edition

Hosted by Derick Fage and Terrilynn Rader.

Ottawa boy Derick Fage has always had a passion for acting, entertaining others. Over the past eleven years he has focused on his passion of entertaining, starring in a number of independent films. He’s also a veteran of live theatre, most recently with Big Time Murder Productions, where he has portrayed over a dozen characters.

Derick enjoys hosting daytime for a number of reasons; the wonderful volunteers working behind the scenes, his great friendship with co-host TL Rader, and meeting the people of Ottawa that make this city a great place to live, work and play.

A self proclaimed child at heart, Derick is curious about everyone and everything, and it’s this very quality that engages viewers daily on daytime. Derick thrives on conveying what’s happening in Ottawa to viewers in a fun and informative manner.

Derick is proud of his work in the Ottawa Community. He has volunteered countless hours for organizations and causes such as, Children At Risk, Dreams Take Flight, The Women's Business Network, The Serge Payer Foundation, Tim Horton's Camp Day, The Chrissy Predham Memorial Golf Tournament, The CHEO Teddy Bear Picnic, BARK Ottawa, Opti Heath Blast Off to Health, The MS Society of Ottawa, The Overbrooke-Forbes Community Resource Centre, and Mothercraft of Ottawa, just to name a few.

Out of the spotlight, Derick enjoys following a variety of sports, reading, acting, attending local events and spending time with his beautiful daughter Chloe.

TL Rader is excited and proud to move into her third season of daytime. Her whirlwind career has taken her to over 119 cities in over 36 countries around the world, but to her – Ottawa is home.

Growing up in an RCMP family, TL spent her childhood years in the Maritimes, but upon moving to Ottawa for university in 1989 she immediately fell in love with the city of Ottawa and decided to make it her permanent home.

In addition to having a great love for entertaining, TL and her husband Chris have spent many years coaching, competing and performing as Professional Ballroom and Latin dancers all of the world. Dancing was a training ground for her move to Rogers TV, as you have to “keep on your toes and be light on your feet” for the fast-paced life of television!

Being a part of daytime has turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences in TL’s life. She loves to meet and talk with the colourful and interesting people in our community. Also, TL enjoys sharing advice with a team of local experts on the show every day. She treasures the wealth of knowledge it brings and has a great deal of fun while she's at it with her partner in crime, her co-host and great friend Derick Fage.

When the cameras are turned off, TL can frequently be found around the city participating in as many charity events, local festivals and community programs that she can fit into her day.
