State of Turkey

The State of Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye Devleti, Arabic: Dawla al-Turkiyya) was the official name of the Mamluk Sultanate which was a regime which ruled Egypt from the mid-13th century to the early 16th century. By the time of the fall of the Ayyubids, most Mamluks were Kipchak Turks.[1]
