David Rudd (born March 13, 1959) is an American cinematographer. He has been nominated for 4 Emmy Awards and 1 MTV Award for Cinematography.
Life and career
David Rudd was born in Compton, California. He graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with a Degree in Motion Picture Cinematography and Production. A Los Angeles native working as a director and Director of Photography for over 25 years including features, commercials and music videos. Directing Commercials Campaigns for Nissan, Infiniti Thomasville Furniture, Nutrilite, Community Hospital of Monterey and Photographing Commercials for McDonald's, Discover Card, Ameritech, AT&T, Captain D’s and Cincinnati Bell. Features include Billy: The Early Years, The Gray Man and Captain Nuke and the Bomber Boys and as an assistant on Blue Velvet, Talk Radio, River's Edge and Born on the Fourth of July. Over 200 Music Videos and Live Shows including Sting, Metallica, Keith Urban, Dave Matthews, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and John Mayer. Awards include 4 Primetime Emmy Award Nominations, MTV Video Music Awards Nomination, 25 Telly Awards.
