Stats at NFL.com David Michael Richardson (born September 9, 1981) is a American football cornerback in the Arena Football League who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Sharks as free agent in 2011.
College career
Richardson attended Cal Poly, and was a letterman in football. As a senior, he won AFCA All-America honors, and started all of the team's 11 games and recorded five interceptions, two touchdowns, 50 tackles, seven pass deflections, and a sack. As a junior, he garnered 3 interceptions and 57 tackles.
College employment included working at Meathead Movers, known for employing student athletes working their way through college.
Professional career
Richardson spent his first two years as a reserve cornerback. After unsuccessfully competing for the starting job in 2005, he has been relegated to special teams. He moved to safety during the 2006 training camp due to the team's glut of cornerbacks.
Richardson signed with the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League in 2011.
