David Ramadan Born Beirut, Lebanon Education George Mason University Occupation Entrepreneur, Consultant, pundit Other names David-Imad Ramadan Ethnicity Lebanese-American - Official website David-Imad Ramadan is a frequent commentator on TV and Radio news networks such as ABC's Good Morning America , LBC, MSNBC, France 24, Al-Hurra, BBC, and NPR.[1] He is currently running for the Virginia House of Delegates in the newly formed 87th District that runs from Loudoun County to Prince Williams County in Northern Virginia.
One significant success was his expansion of the US 9th largest Franchise company, Curves International into the Middle East and recently India; he serves as CEO of 'Curves – Middle East' & 'Curves – India'. David was highlighted in a recent Washington Business Journal [2] article discussing his bullish outlook on expanding Curves in Egypt and other Middle Eastern nations.
Ramadan serves on the Board of Visitors of George Mason University; he was appointed by Gov. Bob McDonnell on July 1, 2010.[3] The Washington Post on July 1, 2010 described the appointment by VA's Governor to a VA university's board as "the most prestigious appointments they have to offer – as a thank you to longtime supporters and friends".[4]
Ramadan is a political activist with active roles in the Republican Party of Virginia, The Loudoun County Republican Committee[5], and the Arab-American Republican community. He has served on presidential political campaigns as well as on gubernatorial and senatorial campaigns and was appointed by RPV Chair in 2008 to ethnic outreach leadership.[6]
He recently participated in the RNC's very successful "Fire Pelosi" Bus Tour/Campaign and stood side by side with key Republicans.
Ramadam has declared himself a candidate for State office in the 87th district for the Virginia House of Delegates and established his campaign website [1]][7].
He speaks and writes Arabic and English fluently.[8]
