David Melech Yisrael

David Melech Yisrael

David Melech Yisrael is a religious Jewish song about David, an important king of ancient Israel. Its often sung in synagogues, although it's not part of the conventional Jewish liturgy. Its lyrics are simple and consist of only two stanzas which are repeated many times. These lyrics can be translated into English as saying "David is the king of Israel / Lives, lives and exists". Here is the Hebrew text: Hebrew: דוד מלך ישראל, חי, חי וקיים[1], transliterated to: David Melech Yisrael; Chai, Chai, Vekayam.
