David MacIntyre (composer)

David MacIntyre (born 1952) is a Canadian composer based in Vancouver. He is a professor of Music Composition at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby.

Style

MacIntyre is predominantly known as a composer for voice, with successful operas, art songs, and pieces for choir. His works are noted for their lyricism and rhythmic vitality.
