David Lyme

David Lyme (born Jordi Cubino on November 22, 1966) is a Spanish singer, songwriter & model. He is one of the pillars of the so-called Valley Sound, which became famous in Europe in the 1980s. Originally, he started singing Opera and discovered disco by "accident".

In 1985, he released his first single Bambina, under Max Music and it became so successful that soon released two more singles (Let's Go To Sitges &) until the release of his first album, Like a star. Like a star includes eight pieces including two ballads, a new version of Bambina and as singles Bye bye my love and I do not want to lose you. His singles were popular in different countries of Europe, but more popular in Japan & Philippines.

In 1987, he released his second album, Lady All, which included singles such as Never Say You Love Me, Lady, and above their own versions of Dolce Vita and Let me be your love. His singles are included in the compilation of current hits called Max Mix, including Max Mix 2 (Let's go to Sitges), Max Mix 3 (Bambina), Max Mix 4 (Playboy), Max Mix 5 (I do not want to lose you), Max Mix 5 (Bye bye my love) and Max Mix 6 (Never Say You Love Me).

In 1990, David Lyme left Max Music & joined competitor at the time, Blanco Y Negro, and released his last single Perestroika. However, it was less successful than his earlier singles. This led to the end of David's singing career.

Despite the collapse of his singing career, he now owns a recording studio. He produces and writes music for other artists. He also writes songs for TV commercials like Coca Cola, Chupa Choops. A compilation of his singles were released by Sony Music in 2004.
