The Very Rev David Leaning is an eminent Anglican priest, who held various offices in the last decades of the 20th century and the early ones of the 21st century.[1]
He was born on 18 August 1936,[2] educated at Keble College, Oxford and ordained in 1961.[3] He was Curate of Gainsborough then held incumbencies in Warsop and Kington after which he was Archdeacon of Newark. In 1991 he became Provost of Southwell and, when the job title changed, Dean of Southwell.Church of England titles Preceded by
