David Hernandez is an American poet and novelist. Most recently, he was awarded a 2011 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship for Poetry.[1]

Life
His poems have appeared in FIELD, The Threepenny Review, Ploughshares,[2] The Missouri Review,[3] Kenyon Review,[4] TriQuarterly, The Southern Review, UPNE,[5] Poetry Daily, AGNI,[6] The Southern Review,[7] Epoch, Iowa Review, Pleiades, "Happiness Epedemic" . His drawings have appeared in Indiana Review.
He teaches poetry at California State University, Long Beach. He lives in Long Beach, California, and is married to writer Lisa Glatt.[8]
