David Neil Gower (born 30 September 1985 in New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian/English professional rugby league footballer for the St George Illawarra Dragons of the National Rugby League (NRL).[2][3]

He is a Balmain local junior from the Holy Cross Ryde Rhinos club.

His position of choice is at Prop. He has previously played for the Salford City Reds in the European Super League and the Wests Tigers in the NRL[4]

David made his first-grade debut on 4 September 2009 playing for the Wests Tigers against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Sydney Football Stadium, in the final round of the regular NRL season.

After earning the 2009 New South Wales Cup player of the year award, whilst playing for The Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers, Gower was rewarded with a 1 year contract with the 2010 NRL Premiership winning team the St. George Illawarra Dragons[5] for the 2011 season.[6] He played in five NRL matches for the Dragons in 2011, and his contract was extended at the end of the year.[7]
