David Fisher' (born October 14, 1956) is an Israeli documentary film director known for his film “Love Inventory”.

Biography
David Fisher has been creating documentary films since 1989 and has been recognized by top Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Achronot” among the most influential figures in Israeli cultural life (2005 and 2006).
Awards
Fisher's film, “Love Inventory”, (Arte 'grand-format', PBS 'Independent Lens' USA) won the best documentary award at the Jerusalem International Film Festival (2000), won the Israeli Film Academy Award for best documentary 2000, and started its international tour at the International Forum of New Cinema in the 2001 Berlinale followed by many more festivals and limited theatrical release.
Film fund
From 1999 to 2008 Fisher served as the Director General of The New Israeli Foundation for Cinema and Television – the leading documentary film fund in Israel - commissioning critically acclaimed films such as “Waltz with Bashir”, “Checkpoint”, “My Father My Lord”. In 2006 Fisher founded "Greenhouse" – a Mediterranean film program for the development of feature length documentaries geared to Israeli and Arab first time filmmakers.
Teacher and juror
Fisher established the Tel-Aviv Museum’s video workshops was a visiting lecturer at the Tel Aviv University, and teaches film at the Ma'ale film school in Jerusalem. He served as a juror in several international film festivals: Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, Leipzig DOK Festival, ZagrebDox, Dokfest Munich, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and more. He is a member of the public board of directors at the Massuah Institute for the Study of the Holocaust (voluntary work).
Fisher is founder and CEO of Fisher Features Ltd. and is working per 2011 on two new documentaries dealing with fatherhood: “Six Million and One” about his father and “Mostar Roundtrip” with his 18 years old son.
Films
- Six Million and One TBR end of 2011 follows Fisher's father's memoir, discovered after his father passed away. Fisher and his siblings follow in the footsteps of the memoir and learn some things about their father and a lot about themselves and their relationships.
- Mostar Round-Trip - 73 min. Premiered at the Jerusalem International Film Festival 2011 and had its international premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival 2011. The film follows Fisher's son Yuval, who goes to study in an international high-school, part of the UWC organization, in Mostar - the conflict-ridden city in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

- Little Big Sister – an intimate profile of Hedi Fried, a Swedish writer, therapist and Holocaust survivor, with excerpts by prominent actress Bibi Andersson;
- A Shepherd’s Affair – romance & suspense among Jewish and Druze cattle growers on the Golan Heights;
- Buried Alive – an abandoned woman goes after her husband, probably a Mossad agent, who disappeared 20 years ago, selected to the Jerusalem, Leipzig, FIPA Biarritz, Montreal, and Montevideo international film festivals.
