David Lee "Junior" Robinson Jr (born February 3, 1968[1] in High Point, North Carolina) was an American defensive back in the National Football League. After playing college football at East Carolina University he was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 5th round 1st pick (overall 110) of the 1990 NFL Draft.[2] He played in the NFL for New England Patriots (1990),[3] and the Detroit Lions (1992–1994).[4] Also, Junior played for the CFL the Sacramento GoldMiners (1993)and Memphis Maddogs (1995). He died in a fatal car accident while visiting family in High Point, NC during a by-week.
He is survived by his son, David Lee Robinson III.
