The dark plum Vera Wang dress of Keira Knightley refers to the dark plum/brown dress worn by Keira Knightley at the 78th Academy Awards on March 5, 2006. In a poll by Debenhams published in The Daily Telegraph the dress was voted the 6th greatest red carpet gown of all time.^[1]Cosmopolitan magazine cited the dress as one of the Best Oscar dresses of all time, saying, "Keira looks super-graceful in this eggplant taffeta gown custom-made by Vera Wang. The multicolored Bulgari necklace adds even more elegance to an already sophisticated look. Keira donated this dress to Oxfam International for an auction, and it raised $7,900, which went toward the food crisis in East Africa."^[2]
