Daria Komarkova (Russian: Дарья Комаркова), born June 20, 1984 in Moscow, Russia is a Russian fashion model.[1]

Early life and modeling start

Komarkova's modeling career began in 1998 when she attended an open call at a Russian casting agency. Although she did not win, she was invited to take part in a Russian modeling agency in 2000, when she was modeling inside Russia and Asia for a couple of years. In September 2005, after moving to New York City at the age of 21, being represented by Major Model Management,[2] Komarkova appeared in the Russian Beauty edition of fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue.[3]

Modeling career

Since the spring/summer 2006 fashion shows, she has walked the runway for many notable brands such as PPQ, Luisa Beccaria, Nathan Jenden, Erdem, Giambattista Valli, Richard Nicoll, Tory Burch, Kai Kühne, Marios Schwab, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Douglas Hannant, A.F. Vandevorst,[4] Diane von Furstenberg, La Perla, Malandrino, Alice Roi, Hamish Morrow, Betsey Johnson, Narciso Rodriguez, Emporio Armani, Christopher Kane and made her Chanel and Topshop's Fashion Shows debuts in 2009. During first quarter of 2010, Komarkova appeared for the first time in editorials for Australian and British Marie Claire,[5] Shop Til You Drop, and Harper's Bazaar.

In September 2009, Komarkova changed her mother agency to Israeli Verbmodels.[6]
