Khosrowshahi received a B.S. in Bioelectrical Engineering from Brown University in 1991.[3]
Dara Khosrowshahi has served as CEO of Expedia, Inc., the world's largest online travel company, since August 2005. Under his leadership, Expedia has extended its global presence to more than 60 countries worldwide through the Expedia, Hotels.com and Hotwire online booking brands, and the travel community sites of TripAdvisor® Media Network. Expedia, Inc. operates over 70 Hotels.com hotel booking sites worldwide and 20 full service Expedia-branded booking sites worldwide.
Previously, Khosrowshahi served as CEO of IAC Travel, a division of InterActiveCorp. Khosrowshahi was instrumental in the initial expansion of IAC's portfolio of travel brands, which now comprise Expedia, Inc. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IAC, overseeing all of the company's financial matters, and also held the role of Executive Vice President of Operations and Strategic Planning at the company. Prior, Khosrowshahi served as President of USA Networks Interactive, having joined the company in 1998 as Vice President of Strategic Planning.
Prior to joining IAC, Khosrowshahi served as Vice President at Allen & Company.
