Daniel Richard Duffy (born December 21, 1988) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals. He is considered one of the top prospects in baseball.^[1]

Professional career

Duffy was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the third round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft out of Cabrillo High School. Duffy briefly retired from baseball in March 2010 before deciding to return in July.^[2]

Duffy made his Major League debut on May 18, 2011.^[3] He gave up two runs in four innings; he did not earn a decision in the 5-4 loss to Texas. He notched his first MLB win on June 14, going six innings in a win over the Oakland Athletics.
