He made his debut for the Bandits on 19 November 2010 against the Sydney Blue Sox as the designated hitter, grounding out for an RBI before being pinch-hit for by Shayne Watson. Daniel only played 11 games for the Bandits, going 3/22, the worst performing player for the team that year.
Daniel was signed to the Atlanta Braves in 2005 before being released. He was the first player of New Zealand heritage to play in the ABL.
