After playing college football for Diablo Valley Junior College and San Jose State, Colchico was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 7th round (78th overall) of the 1959 NFL Draft. He played seven seasons for the San Francisco 49ers (1960–1965) and the New Orleans Saints (1969)[1]
