Daniel Bass (born 15 February 1987) is an Australian rules footballer currently on the rookie list for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).^[1]

Melbourne-born and raised Bass was a 200 cm, 102 kg basketballer who returned to Australia mid-year after a four year U.S. NCAA basketball stint at Metropolitan State College of Denver (Colorado). The fact Bass has not been registered with any football league for more than three years means under the AFL’s rookie rules he qualifies to be listed by a club without having to go through the AFL Draft system.

On 29 September, 2011, Port Adelaide announced that Bass would be delisted.^[2]
