Dan Tieman

Dan Tieman

Daniel Theodore Tieman (born November 30, 1940) is a former National Basketball Association point guard. A 6', 185 lb guard, Tieman played in 29 games with the Cincinnati Royals during the 1962-63 NBA season. Tieman is an alumnus of Covington Catholic High School, where he also worked variously as a teacher, basketball coach, and department head since 1965. There, he gained much affection from his students, who knew him as "Coach T." Dan Tieman retired from teaching in 2010, but still works at Covington Catholic as a teacher's and resource aide.
