Rugby
Played 8 seasons professionally in Australia and in France for AS Carcassonne. He was a member of the New York Athletic Clubs (NYAC) Rugby team that plays in the American Rugby Super League (RSL)and finished the season as the 2nd highest points scorer in the competition and a unanimous choice as the leagues best fullback. He is in the player pool for the USA Eagles men's Rugby team for the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand, and made his debut against Argentina in the 2009 Churchill Cup.
NFL career
Concluding the Churchill Cup Power retired from Rugby to pursue a career in the NFL as a punter. He was scouted to play in the NFL by the Miami Dolphins in 2009 and worked out with the New York Jets then twice with the San Diego Chargers, Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens during the 2010 season.
