Dan Lin

Dan Lin is an American film producer and CEO of Lin Pictures, a filmed entertainment production company that he formed in January 2008. In September 2008, he was honoured as one of Variety's "10 producers to watch."^[1]

Early Life

Dan Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He received his undergraduate education at the Wharton School in 1994 and in 1999 earned a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.^[2]

Warner Bros. Pictures

Lin joined Warner Bros. Pictures in 1999 and left in 2007 as Senior Vice President of Production.

Lin Pictures

In January 2008 he formed Lin Pictures, based at Warner Bros.^[3] He described the transition from development executive to producer as natural: "It’s a symbiotic relationship between the studio and the producers, we all work together towards the same goal – make the best movie possible."^[4]
