Daniel Bennett, performing under the stage name Transit, is an independent Canadian hip hop artist working out of Calgary, Alberta.

He was originally a member of Curbside Philosophy with DJ Homeschool Jon, their last concert together was in August, 2007. Following that, he formed a partnership with Dave Wallace, calling themselves Transition.[1]

In 2008 he was a nominee for the GMA Covenant Award, the youngest artist present.[2]

In 2011 together with collaborator Dave Wallace he undertook an "8 hour challenge" to produce a Top 40 style song in under eight hours to illustrate how formulaic he believes pop music is, the results were posted on YouTube and the video went viral.[3]

He studied at Ambrose University College and works out of Calgary, Alberta.[4]

He is set to release his new album "22" in November.
