Early life and education
Suketu started his career as a DJ over 15 years back. He has a bachelors degree, (graduating from H.R. College Of Commerce & Economics), and M. Com (I & II) from University of Mumbai and is also a Post Graduate from S.P. Jain Institute in Mumbai. He produced smashing remixes before entering the Bollywood mainstream music.
Albums
His debut remix album '440 Volts' topped charts across India which had a number of hits like "Pyar Zindagi Hai" and "Bombay In My Soul".
One of his most popular remixes "Bin Tere Sanam" was released soon on the compilation 'War of The DJs 2' and became an instant club classic dominating dancefloors across India and abroad till date. The remix also won the Best Remix Award at the 2004 MTV IMMIES Award.
In 2005 he released 'The Bed Lounge Remixes' album which featured the smash-hit remixes 'Kya Khoob Lagti Ho' and 'Meri Nazar'. The album gained success worldwide mainly in UK. The remix of 'Kya khoob lagti ho' won the Best Remix Award at the 2005 MTV Immies Awards and DJ Suketu won the Best DJ/Remixer award at the ceremony for the second consecutive year.
Ultimix album was released in 2009 which included remixes of classic 90s songs such as 'Mohra theme', etc.
He's currently working on his latest album (name unknown) which will be released by February end 2011.
Bollywood
Over the years, DJ Suketu has remixed many new Bollywood songs. He has defined the meaning of Remix music in the mainstream Bollywood scenario being the most successful Remix producer of India.
His official remix of "Woh Lamhe" from the movie Zeher is one of the most popular remixes in Bollywood history. The song gained immense success across India and also in countries such as UK.[citation needed]. The brilliant track featuring Atif Aslam on the vocals gave a definition to remix and electronic music in India. The video was also a huge success with Emraan Hashmi and DJ Suketu featuring in it. It wasn't much time when the remix of the popular track "Aadat" from the Pakistani band Jal was released in the movie Kalyug. The track again featured vocals from Atif. The remix by Suketu created a rave in India.
He has to his credit some of the biggest remixes which include songs like "Baras Ja", "Beedi" (Omkara), "Ya Ali" (Gangster), "Laaree Chhooti", "Aaja Nachle", "Ud Chale" and "Choti Si" from the Indian edit of High School Musical.
He produced the official remixes for the movie Awarapan in 2007. "To Phir Aao", "Mahiyaa" & "Tera Mera Rishta" ruled the charts throughout featuring Mustafa Zahid and Annie on the vocals. Other remixes include songs from the smash hit movies "Raaz 2" and "Race" which include his mixes of "O Jaana", "Maahi" and "Pehli Nazar Mein", "Allah Duhai", "Zara Zara (Touch Me)" respectively. Remixes of Kismat Konnection were also by Suketu such as "Bakhuda". In 2008, he remixed the popular song "Bandya" from the critically acclaimed movie Khuda Kay Liye and also mixed a song from Rahul Sharma and Richard Clayfermans 2008 album "The Confluence".
In 2009, he produced all the remixes of the tracks in the blockbuster b'wood movie Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani containing music composed by Pritam. The remixes ruled the Bollywood with smash hits such as "Tera Hone Laga Hoon" and "Tu Jaane Na". The songs featured vocals from Atif Aslam, proving to be a success every time he comes up with DJ Suketu.
His recent remixes include the tracks from the movie Prince. The leading tracks were "O Mere Khuda", "Kaun Hoon Main", "Aa Bhi Ja Sanam" and the chart-topper track "Tere Liye" with vocals from Atif.

DJ Suketu won the jury panel award of MyFavDJ.in, an online campaign conducted in 2010, to find India's most popualr DJ's across genres. He won the best Bollywood DJ/Remix Producer.
International Collaboration
In June 2010 DJ Suketu collaborated with Iyaz to remix the worldwide smash hit "Replay". His remix was added on Iyaz's album 'Replay' that was released by Warner Music Groups' licensee, EMI Music in India and the Middle East.
Suketu’s mix got a tremendous response in India. The official name of the mix was Replay (DJ Suketu’s Call To Dhol Mix).
The song was played on BBC Asia Network where Suketu was interviewed for being one of the only Indian DJs to have an international collaboration with a chart topping artist. In addition, the song was sung and arranged by a young upcoming music talent, Sagar Dhote from Mumbai. According to him "Working with Suketu and Iyaz was really a big break for me."
