Marwan Parham aka DJ Bliss (born June 6, 1981) is an Emirati nightclub and radio DJ. He was born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. DJ Bliss is the first and only local DJ in Dubai to compile an exhilarating mix of R&B tracks. He released a CD compiled by himself called ‘The Projects’. Released on BMG Middle East’s record label, the album reached top 10 on the Virgin Megastores album chart across the Middle East. Parham is also the host of Dubai One's show Twenty Something along with his co-host Annah Jacobs.[1]

Personal life
Born in Dubai in 1981, Parham was raised in a big family; two of his brothers had important jobs in business and so Parham was pressured to do the same. However he always had a passion for music and DJing. His first start doing so was as a teenager, running his school’s radio station during breaks between lessons. Later, Parham enrolled to study business at the Dubai Polytechnic University.[2]
Career
Parham aka DJ Bliss broke into the club scene in early 2002 with his music focused from Hip-Hop and R&B. In 2003 DJ Bliss quickly released his first album, an exhilarating mix of R&B, entitled 'The Projects' with BMGI. 'The Projects' entered the TOP 10 at Virgin Megastores and ignited Parham's career as DJ Bliss. In 2006, he was given a position working as a radio DJ and entertainer interviewing many celebrities for Radio1, the Number 1 hit music station in the UAE.[1]
The Emirati DJ also made headlines after refusing to play the Busta Rhymes single called Arab Money on Radio 1 in Dubai after it was banned in the UAE for offense to Arabs. He added:
“ I used to play the original version in the club, but out of respect for the laws here in my country, I haven’t played it since.[3] ” For his songs continues to DJ and interviewed for his work.[4][5] As well as releasing mix albums, presenting radio shows and live DJing, Parham is also the global CEO of his own A Bliss Creation outfit, putting on events and booking acts.[2][6] Marwan is currently part of Dubai One with his lifestyle TV show ‘Emarati’, which aired in the Fall of 2009 and also is co-host of the show 'Twenty Something' along side Annah Jacobs.[1] In addition he also acts as a presenter for several events for Dubai Media.[7]
Awards
- For his music DJ Bliss won the Middle East Regional 'PALME DJ of the Year Award' in 2004.[1]
- He was also an 'Ahlan HOT 100' winner for 'Up & Coming' in 2009.[1]
