The Daughters of the Holy Heart of Mary is a Roman Catholic religious order. It was the first indigenous religious order in Africa.
History
The order was founded on May 24, 1858 by Bishop Aloyse Kobès, who would go on to become the first Vicar Apostolic of Senegambia.
