A Democrat, she serves in the Maine Senate, representing the 7th district which is composed of South Portland, her hometown of Cape Elizabeth, and a small portion of Scarborough. Dill was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2006 to represent Cape Elizabeth's District 121. Following the resignation of Sen. Larry Bliss in 2011, Dill won a special election to replace Bliss, defeating former Republican State Representative from South Portland Louie Maietta with 68% of the vote.[1] She is married to Tom Clarke and has two children, Harrison and Isabel.
Dill has also worked as Director of the Common Cause Digital Democracy Project in Washington, D.C. and as an adjunct faculty member at Southern Maine Community College.[2]
Prior to serving in the state legislature, Dill was elected to the Cape Elizabeth Town Council. She is a strong supporter of same-sex marriage.[2]
Education
Dill earned her B.A at the University of Vermont and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.[2]
