Cuming's Barb (Puntius cumingii) is a ray-finned fish species in the family Cyprinidae. It is sometimes called Twospot Barb, particular in the aquarium fish trade, but the related Ticto barb (P. ticto) is also and perhaps more frequently traded under that name. The IUCN Red List, which uses "Twospot Barb" for P. cumingii, does not include P. ticto.[1]

This barb is endemic to Sri Lanka. Its stocks have declined in recent decades, and in 1996 it was assessed to be in need of conservation to ensure it stays plentiful. However, this assessment may be outdated by now.[1]
