Cuatrecasas is a Spanish law firm founded in 1917 in Barcelona, one of the oldest continually operating law firms on the Iberian peninsula. It is one of the most international Spanish law firms, in addition to 14 offices within Spain, it also counts two offices in Portugal and further branches in Casablanca, New York City, Brussels, London, São Paulo and Buenos Aires. In 2003 it completed the merge with the Portuguese firm Gonçalves Pereira, thus becoming Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira.
In 2010 the firm revenues were €241,7 million, and finished that year with 982 attorneys, 241 partners among them, and 24 offices around the world.[1]
Notable Mandates
- Represented JP Morgan and Caja Madrid as joint global coordinators (underwriters) in the €1.8 billion IPO of real estate company Realia Business SA on the Madrid Stock Exchange in 2007.
- Advised Yell Group on its €3.3 billion acquisition of a 59% stake in Telefónica Publicidad e Información from Telefónica SA in 2006.
