CRI enables people to make the positive changes necessary to lead independent and purposeful lives and create safer, healthier communities.

CRI's values stem from a social work therapeutic approach, where teams demonstrate respect for others; a commitment to excellence; a sense of vocation and a courageous determination to make communities safer and healthier.

A national charity providing around 200 services for people in towns and cities across England and Wales, combining a sound ethical base with a solid business model to deliver results. The crime reduction dividend from work is demonstrated in healthier and safer communities.

CRI works in partnership with service users to help them identify and achieve their goals. Staff consist of skilled people from diverse backgrounds who have complex needs, and a passion for providing service users with opportunities to improve their lives.


In the 2009-2010 financial year CRI's income was £57.51m and it employed 1,305 people and 498 volunteers, according to the Register of Charities. According to the same source, CRI's income in 2000-2001 was £2.1m and in 2006-2007 it was £27.3m. Register of Charities.
