Craig Wilde is a Yorkshire born TV personality, TV Presenter, Club promoter and Director of Marketing and Events agency Northern Tzar[2]

Born in Doncaster, and trained as an Actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, completing his studies in 1992, he turned first to a successful career in Sales and Training before settling on Marketing rather than Acting for his career.

Craig first came to the fore as a club promoter widely known for legendary Mixed Gay Club Fruitfly,[3] the club he promoted at The Arches in Glasgow from 1999 to 2002.[4] He became the focus of several TV Documentaries such as STV & Grampian's: This Scotland[5] - 2001 documentary, and Lanarkshire Television's 'Nightclubing' programme which explored the world of Craig as the promoter and Drag Personality 'Rubi Ring', and contributed to Magazines such as Glasgow culture Magazine Yum Yum and the HERALD Newspaper.

After promoting and producing clubs in the early noughties, he ran several small successful marketing agencies before opening Bar Warhol[6] in 2006, on Glasgow's prestigious Bath Street. It was then that Craig relocated to Newcastle to work with the city's Gay Leisure operators,[7] notably the re-invention of the now famous Powerhouse gay club venue with his clubs, Frixon, Popgarden, Skool Disco and Student 'Indie' night The Shimmy Club,[8] as well as running his own parties such as The Cockpit and Marvellous.[9]

Craig returned to performing in 2010 and is currently appearing daily as a live host on Bingo Web TV Channel 'Bingo Studio Live',[10]. Garnering a significant fanbase he is known for his madcap comic style. As well as Performing he is Managing Director of boutique creative marketing agency and event company 'Northern Tzar Ltd'.[11]

After years spent in Scotland and working across Europe, Craig now lives resides in Newcastle upon Tyne with his long term partner, musician Anthony James Hall.
