The Council of Portugal, officially, the Royal and Supreme Council of Portugal (Spanish: Real y Supremo Consejo de Portugal) was a ruling body and key part of the government of the union between Spain and Portugal in Europe, second only to the monarch himself. It administered Portugal as a part of the Iberian Union.
