- Corps of Israelites

The Corps of Israelites (Dutch: "Corps Israelieten") was a short-lived infantry-unit of the Kingdom of Holland. Due to a lack of recruits, King Louis Bonaparte decided to raise this unit in 1808 to strengthen the army. The idea was to recruit solely amongst the Jewish population; however, the unit could never muster enough recruits, and it was disbanded a year later. Its NCOs and other ranks were dispersed amongst the Regiments of Jagers, whose uniforms were similar to that of the Corps of Israelites.
