Coptic was raised in Sydney by Egyptian parents and performs with stage partner Phatchance.

Career
Coptic Soldier was the last artist signed to Nurcha Records before its closure in 2009. He released his debut mixtape 'False Start' on the label only a year into his musical career.[1]
Three years on from this release, Coptic Soldier independently distributed a release titled "The Past Three Years".
In 2010, he joined Phatchance for the national "Inkstains" tour which saw the pair headline nine dates across Australia.[2]
In 2010 Coptic Soldier teamed up with Sydney soul vocalist Miriam Waks and independently released his debut EP "The Sound of Wings".[3]
Girgis runs an artist management company "The Girgis Circus". He provides management Australian hip-hop acts such as Phatchance, Mind over Matter, Elgen & Johnny Utah and Australian pop artist HR King.[4][5]
