Convention is both a light rail stop and a neighbouring monorail stop on the Metro Light Rail line in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and the stations are located in the Darling Harbour precinct. The location is named after the Sydney Convention Centre which is directly behind the stops.
Light Rail stop
The light rail station is located on the former Darling Harbour branch of the Metropolitan Goods railway line, opposite the Harbourside Shopping Centre. It has two platforms, one for services to Lilyfield (or The Star between midnight and 6am), the other for services to Central. The station is accessed by means of a ramp to either platforms. Access to platform 1 requires crossing the tracks via a pedestrian crossing. The stop opened in 1997.
Monorail stop
The monorail stop is not next to the light rail stop, but a few metres down Darling Dr towards Central. It is located at the southern end of the Harbourside Shopping Centre and a the northern end of the Convention Centre.
